Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 NY is dedicated to the craft of bricklaying, stonesetting, stone tending, masonry restoration and plastering. With over 5000 strong of the most talented masonry craft workers hailing not just from the New York City and Long Island area but from around the world, these Union members are responsible for some of the “who’s who" of buildings, including Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, the Met-Life Building, the American Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, the Cloisters, the Frick, the Metropolitan Museum, as well as thousands of office and residential buildings. Reciprocity Of Contributions:
If you worked out of the jurisdiction of BAC Local #1, NY during 2009, please contact the Hours Department at the Fund Office and advise them of where you worked so they can request reciprocity of your benefits. Be reminded that the only benefits that are reciprocated are Pension, Welfare and Annuity. Hours received are converted to BAC Local #1, NY rates.

From Long Island and Queens:
Take the Long Island Expressway to Van Dam Street (last exit before Midtown Tunnel Toll). At Van Dam make a right turn onto Van Dam and go to Thompson Avenue. At Thompson Avenue make a left onto Thompson. Proceed approximately one-quarter mile towards Green Glass Citibank Building, which is Jackson Avenue.
At Jackson Avenue make a left at light and an immediate left onto Court Square. Four Story brick building on the right side.
Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expy. to McGuinness Humboldt St. exit. Bear left off exit and follow road onto McGuinness approx. 1-1/2 miles (over Pulaski bridge) to Jackson Avenue and make a right. Go approx. l/4 mile to Court Square and make a right. Landmark: Brooks’ Restaurant.
From The Bronx And Manhattan:
Take the Triborough Bridge to the very first exit. Make an extreme right, and go one block to Astoria Boulevard. Make right onto Astoria Blvd. and go approximately one mile to 21st Street. Left onto 21st St. and go approximately 2 miles to Jackson Avenue and make a left onto Jackson go 1/4 mile and you’ll see the green glass Citicorp Building & Brooks’ Restaurant. Make a right at Brooks’ Restaurant onto Court Square.

Apprentice Dues: $16.00 per month
Less than 40 years membership: $15.00 per month
More than 40 years membership: $10.00 per month
Disabled Membership Dues:
Less than 40 years membership: $6.00 per month
More than 40 years membership: $2.25 per month
50 Year Gold Card Member: No Dues
